Meet Dr. Grossman

Dr. Terry Grossman

Terry Grossman, M.D. is the founder and medical director of The Grossman Wellness Center. He graduated from Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts in 1968 and completed medical school at the University of Florida School of Medicine in 1979. Following his postgraduate training at St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado, he spent 15 years as the medical director of a rural family practice clinic in the Colorado Mountains. With limited access to specialists, he began researching and utilizing alternative treatments in his practice.

Dr. Grossman moved from the mountains to open Frontier Medical Institute (the previous name for Grossman Wellness Center) in the Denver metro area in 1994. His goal was to focus on nutritional medicine for the treatment and prevention of chronic diseases for which Western medicine seems to offer limited options. He developed and implemented protocols for the nutritional treatment of such diverse conditions as heart disease, many forms of cancer, chronic fatigue syndrome and fibromyalgia, macular degeneration and autistic spectrum disorders. Over the past 14 years Frontier Medical Institute has become one of the largest integrative nutritional medicine centers in the country.

When his first book The Baby Boomer's Guide to Living Forever was published in 2000 he began to include age management medicine as a major focus of his medical practice. After decades of treating disease after the fact, his clinic began performing comprehensive wellness evaluations with a view towards preventing disease to the greatest extent possible. Since that time patients have come to the center from all areas of the United States and every continent of the world. This part of his clinic in Denver is known as the Grossman Wellness Center and focuses exclusively on both prevention and early disease detection utilizing the most scientific evaluation methods available.
